Basketball Recap: Irondale Takes a Loss

Irondale lost against Osseo back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Irondale Knights took a hard 67-49 fall against the Osseo Orioles. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Orioles 26-22 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Irondale still got an impressive performance from Jake Dedominces, who posted 24 points. Dedominces' evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Fisher Killens, who scored ten points.

Irondale's defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Osseo, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Irondale will welcome Cretin-Derham Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cretin-Derham Hall will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Irondale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Osseo, they will venture away from home to square off against Duluth East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Osseo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Duluth East likes a good challenge.
