Baseball Recap: Grace Davis Takes a Loss

Grace Davis had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-12 to make it four. They lost 14-0 to the Pacheco Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 5, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Grace Davis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Ceja, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

As for Pacheco, their win bumped their record up to 11-6. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Pacheco's side, the team relied heavily on Aidan Pikas, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Pikas has posted since back in February. Tucker Kim also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

While Grace Davis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
