Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Dons vs. Dysart Demons

For the second straight game, Coronado will face off against Dysart. The Dons are taking a road trip to challenge the Demons at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Coronado has given up an average of 17.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Coronado's last matchup with Dysart could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Dons lost 11-0 to the Demons. The Dons have struggled against the Demons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

For Dysart's part, Nathan Sinclair Delgado made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Sinclair Delgado has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Dysart: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise.

In other batting news, Dysart let John Amparan and Angel Chavez run wild. Amparan went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Chavez went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Amparan has posted since back in March of 2025. Jay Rucobo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Dysart always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Dysart, their record now sits at 9-10.
