Volleyball Recap: Providence Hall Patriots vs. Altamont Longhorns
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grantsville, Providence Hall was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Altamont Longhorns as the Providence Hall Patriots made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.
Providence Hall didn't let Altamont take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-23.
The victory got Providence Hall back to even at 6-6. As for Altamont, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.
After both having extra time off, Providence Hall and Summit Academy will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but likely not for long. As for Altamont, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win vs. Tintic on the 14th.
