Softball Game Preview: Dillon Christian Warriors vs. Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles

Dillon Christian hasn't had much luck against Pee Dee Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will face off against the Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Dillon Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Dillon Christian managed to slip by Williamsburg Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Stallions on Friday, falling 11-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this game were averaging 2.88 runs allowed.

Meanwhile, Pee Dee Academy waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Swampcats 7-1.

Pee Dee Academy's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Dillon Christian, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-4.

Dillon Christian suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Pee Dee Academy in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
