Volleyball Game Preview: North Rangers vs. Independence Blue Devils

The North Rangers will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Independence Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Chardon, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to the Rangers' undefeated start to the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Chardon. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hilltoppers 25-20 in the first set.

Independence started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 18-25, 25-15, 27-25, 15-6.

Having lost for the first time this season, North fell to 2-1. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
