Sheldon had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-9 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Roseburg Indians 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Irish: when they faced off against the Indians back in April, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

As for Roseburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Roseburg's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Masyn Tabor, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sheldon beat the Indians by a score of 2-1 later that day.
