Recap: Kendall Eagles vs. Wheatland-Chili Wildcats
The Kendall Eagles lost against the Wheatland-Chili Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Kendall received a tough blow as they fell 58-41 to Wheatland-Chili. Kendall has struggled against Wheatland-Chili recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leighton Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points for Wheatland-Chili. That makes it six consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Wheatland-Chili's points. Another player making a difference was Anari Trotter, who scored 12 points.
Kendall now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wheatland-Chili, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kendall will take on Pavilion at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheatland-Chili, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Byron-Bergen at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Byron-Bergen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 back in December of 2023.
