Patriot had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Independence. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers have posted since August 30th.

Patriot got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 30-32, 25-13, 15-12.

Soleil Rancourt paced Patriot's offense, picking up 30 kills. Rancourt got some help from Danika Swanson and her 51 assists. Grace Fox controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Patriot's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
