Recap: Spencer Greenwave vs. Kendrick Cherokees
The Spencer Greenwave stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Kendrick on the road to the tune of 68-16. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spencer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexandria Berk, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Berk is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Naomi Berk, who scored 19 points along with four steals.
Anaila Whitaker and Justina Vice certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Whitaker scored eight points along with eight blocks and six rebounds, while Vice scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Spencer pushed their record up to 12-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.33 points. As for Kendrick, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spencer's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rutland at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Kendrick, they will face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
