Basketball Recap: Evansville North Takes a Loss

Evansville North lost against Southridge back in February of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Evansville North Huskies took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southridge Raiders. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Evansville North still got an impressive performance from Bryson Chapman, who went 8 of 9 to rack up 18 points. Chapman's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Sena Gore was another key player, putting up eight points.

Evansville North has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Southridge, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Evansville North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-36 victory against Evansville Bosse on the 11th. As for Southridge, they will be playing at home against North Posey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
