Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Brookline couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton South Lions on Friday. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Molly Tipton paced Brookline's offense, picking up 12 kills. Tipton got some help from Nora Mullen and her 24 assists. Noga Naveh and Bella Bacon kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
