Basketball Recap: Windsor Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Marin, Windsor was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Montgomery Vikings by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. The win was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Vikings are ranked 53rd).

Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Montgomery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Windsor and Del Campo will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Montgomery, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Washington at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
