Baseball Game Preview: Rappahannock Raiders vs. Lancaster Red Devils

For the second straight game, Rappahannock will face off against Lancaster. The Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Rappahannock 3.1, Lancaster 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Rappahannock fell victim to Lancaster and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. Raiders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Red Devils since Tuesday.

The victory (which was Lancaster's ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Rappahannock, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
