Volleyball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Finds Home Court Redemption Against Burlingame

There's no place like home for Sylvan-Lucas, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Burlingame Bearcats by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sylvan-Lucas took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13.

Harlee Nelson paced Sylvan-Lucas' offense, picking up 11 kills. Nelson got some help from Lily Pancost and her nine assists. Lauren Brokes controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sylvan-Lucas' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-11. As for Burlingame, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sylvan-Lucas and Burlingame will both be playing St. John's/Tipton Catholic the next time they take the court. The Bearcats will head out to face the Blujays at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
