There isn't much left for Taylor Powell to do at the high school level.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback led Fayetteville (Ark.) to a state runner-up finish as a sophomore and then took his team to the 7A state title as a junior.

Over the weekend he delivered a verbal commitment to Wake Forest, giving the Demon Deacons their eighth Class of 2017 pledge (and second from a quarterback).

Powell was the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year last fall after throwing for over 3,500 yards and 49 touchdowns. He threw for 2,500 yards and 20 TDs as a sophomore.
