Basketball Game Preview: Wrangell Wolves vs. Susitna Valley Rams

The Wrangell Wolves and the Susitna Valley Rams will face off at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wrangell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Effie Kokrine Charter 76-40.

Meanwhile, Susitna Valley didn't have too much trouble with Chevak on Friday as they won 65-49. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.

Susitna Valley's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Wrangell, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Wrangell came up short against Susitna Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 41-36. Can Wrangell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
