Volleyball Game Preview: Dover Pirates vs. Conway Christian Eagles

The Dover Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Conway Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Dover made easy work of Perryville and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Dover not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Perryville between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-14.

Dover can attribute much of their success to Early Jackson, who had 11 digs and three aces. Jackson has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Jackson wasn't the only good servers: Dover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perryville only served one.

Meanwhile, Conway Christian got the win against Perryville on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Conway Christian took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-12.

Dover's record is now 8-10. As for Conway Christian, their record now sits at 11-6.

Dover suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Conway Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
