Basketball Recap: Wenonah Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Wenonah extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Samarian Franklin. The Wenonah Dragons enjoyed a cozy 77-61 victory over the Minor Tigers on Monday thanks in part to Franklin, who almost dropped a double-double on 34 points and nine assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Wenonah's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Makyla Williams, who posted two points and three steals. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2023.

Wenonah's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Minor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Wenonah won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hueytown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wenonah is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season. As for Minor, they will face off against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
