Basketball Recap: Savannah Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Savannah Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Metter Tigers, falling 78-51. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-42 back in December of 2024.

Savannah Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Metter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Savannah Classical Academy will head out to challenge The Habersham School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metter, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jenkins County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Metter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Jenkins County likes a good challenge.
