Softball Preview: Aragon Dons vs. Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS        
        
		
            
 Aragon and Hillsdale are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Aragon Dons will head out on the road to  take on  the Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Aragon will be strutting in after a  victory while Hillsdale will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Aragon took a loss when they played away from home  on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Burlingame out  4-3.
  Rae D'Amato made a splash no matter where she played. She  tossed seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits. D'Amato has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. D'Amato was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Morgan Marburger, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Are Makropoulos, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  Hillsdale unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Capuchino by a score of  1-0. The  matchup marked the first time this season in which Hillsdale was not able to get on the board.
 Hillsdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sophia Shelton, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 Aragon now  has a winning record of 12-11-1. As for Hillsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 21-4.
 Aragon suffered a grim  12-0 defeat to Hillsdale  in their previous meeting  back in April. Can Aragon avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
