The Aragon Dons will head out on the road to take on the Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Aragon took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Burlingame out 4-3.
Rae D'Amato made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. D'Amato has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. D'Amato was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Marburger, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Are Makropoulos, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Capuchino by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which Hillsdale was not able to get on the board.
