Basketball Recap: Chardon Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Chardon won the last time they faced South, and Cameron Gerlica did her part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Chardon Hilltoppers' way against the South Rebels on Saturday as the Chardon Hilltoppers made off with a 65-43 win thanks in part to Gerlica, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and seven boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caitlin Boruszkowski, who put up 13 points. Sydney Isabella was another key player, putting up ten points.

Chardon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Chardon will venture away from home to take on North at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chardon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 38-29 victory against Wickliffe on the 6th.
