Baseball Game Preview: Colmesneil Bulldogs vs. West Sabine Tigers

Colmesneil hasn't had much luck against West Sabine recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Tigers at 5:30 p.m.

Colmesneil is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Thursday. They lost 7-1 to Hemphill.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Sabine, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hemphill 3-2.

Laken Quick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, West Sabine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Estes, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Estes has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got West Sabine back to even at 8-8. As for Colmesneil, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Colmesneil couldn't quite get it done against West Sabine in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
