Basketball Recap: Pickens Comes Up Short

Pickens blew Greater Atlanta Christian out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Greater Atlanta Christian got their revenge. The Pickens Dragons fell just short of the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans by a score of 66-64. That makes it the first time this season the Dragons have let down their home crowd.

Greater Atlanta Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mikey Carpenter, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. Carpenter is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in each of the last six games he's played. Mario Hill Jr was another key player, going 6-for-13 en route to 18 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pickens fell to 27-1. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Pickens nor Greater Atlanta Christian have any future games scheduled.
