McMinn Central proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 21) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 victory over the Woodland Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Chargers, who have now won three games in a row.

McMinn Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Woodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, McMinn Central will venture away from home to square off against Cumberland County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland, they will welcome Ridgeland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
