Softball Game Preview: East Bridgewater Vikings vs. Hanover Hawks

The East Bridgewater Vikings will square off against the Hanover Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Bridgewater's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Hanover's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

East Bridgewater is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Carver a 23-0 shutout on Monday. The Vikings have beaten the Crusaders the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Crusaders has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Hanover fell victim to Marshfield and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The game marked the first time this season in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

East Bridgewater pushed their record up to 9-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hanover, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
