Soccer Game Preview: Bennett vs. DSST: Green Valley Ranch

The Bennett Tigers will challenge the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Bennett took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Fort Lupton with a sharp 7-1 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Meanwhile, DSST: Green Valley Ranch kept a clean sheet against Mitchell on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Marauders. Ryann Sanders was a massive factor in the win as she booted in seven goals all by herself.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Mitchell. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Aleah Lopez, Gabrielle Gordon, and Milena Escobedo. Escobedo made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory made it two in a row for DSST: Green Valley Ranch and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Bennett, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
