Softball Recap: Waggener Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

23 must be Waggener's lucky number: they beat Moore with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Wildcats beat the Mustangs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 23-8. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 12 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Waggener's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 25.6 runs over those games. As for Moore, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Waggener and Moore will both be playing Brown the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
