Softball Recap: Ontario Tigers vs. Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs
Ontario lost to Baker/Powder Valley back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Ontario Tigers put the hurt on the Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs with a sharp 11-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Ontario.
Bri Kemble made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Kemble has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Kemble was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Chelsey McLean was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Khianna Stone Mendez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Ontario's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Baker/Powder Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
