Master's Academy is a perfect 7-0 against Calvary Chapel Academy since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Patriots will host the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Calvary Chapel Academy will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Master's Academy extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Patriots blew past Oasis Christian 15-4.
Nola Matz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Alison Viersma was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyanah DeCosta, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oasis Christian only posted an OBP of .394.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Calvary Chapel Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Palm Bay on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 20-7 victory.
Calvary Chapel Academy got a massive performance out of Miriam Stuart, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Angelina McMackin was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four RBI and one double.
Master's Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Master's Academy took their win against Calvary Chapel Academy when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 16-6 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
