Basketball Recap: Cabell Midland Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cabell Midland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Breathitt County Bobcats on Friday, sneaking past 58-55.

Coleson Christus had a dynamite game for Cabell Midland, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Christus has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Samuel Phillips, who posted ten points.

The win got Cabell Midland back to even at 8-8. As for Breathitt County, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Coming up, Cabell Midland will square off against Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cabell Midland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season. As for Breathitt County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pike County Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
