Basketball Recap: Lake Marion Gators vs. North Eagles
The Lake Marion Gators didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the North Eagles on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 78-74 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

Lake Marion's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Breion Shivers, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 24 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 24 points gave Shivers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Robinson, who shot 70% from the field on his way to 18 points.
Defeat or not, North got some senior leadership from Michael Felder and Ashston Jamison. Felder dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, while Jamison went 10-for-14 en route to 22 points. Josiah Jackson was another key player, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 10 points along with five assists and three steals.
Lake Marion's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Marion will host Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Denmark-Olar at 8:00 p.m.
