Volleyball Recap: Superior Comes Up Short

Superior and Alma squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Superior had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Cora Schnakenberg paced Superior's offense, picking up nine kills. Schnakenberg got some help from Maddi Bargen and her 12 assists. Olivia Smullins controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Superior's loss dropped their record down to 3-26. As for Alma, their win bumped their record up to 14-16.

Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alma, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Centura on the 28th.
