Softball Game Preview: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. Myrtle Beach Seahawks

Carolina Forest has gone a perfect 3-0 against Myrtle Beach recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will welcome the Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carolina Forest has three straight victories, Myrtle Beach has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Carolina Forest not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Myrtle Beach.

Kaysen Warehime spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carolina Forest got a massive performance out of Mady Eason, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Eason a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Wohlers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Carolina Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Myrtle Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Carolina Forest, their win bumped their record up to 12-8-1.
