Basketball Game Preview: International Gryphons vs. Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars

International is 0-10 against Greenwood Christian Academy since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The International Gryphons will challenge the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

International is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anderson Prep Academy. The Gryphons were down 63-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Greenwood Christian Academy strolled past Indianapolis Metropolitan with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-41. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Pumas are ranked 102nd).

International's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

International came up short against Greenwood Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 63-50. Can International avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
