Basketball Recap: DeRidder Takes a Loss

DeRidder was the 60-58 winner over Leesville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The DeRidder Dragons fell 54-42 to the Leesville Wampus Cats on Friday. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DeRidder's defeat dropped their record down to 5-24. As for Leesville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

DeRidder has already played their next contest (against East Beauregard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leesville is taking a road trip to square off against DeRidder at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st.
