Soccer Game Preview: Ouachita Parish vs. Neville

Ouachita Parish is 1-9 against Neville since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ouachita Parish face off against the Neville at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ouachita Parish's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Beau Chene. Considering the Lions have won six contests by more than seven goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Neville entered their tilt with Beau Chene on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Gators. The Tigers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Neville's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those eight matches. As for Ouachita Parish, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10-1 record this season.

Ouachita Parish beat Neville 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Ouachita Parish repeat their success, or does Neville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
