O'Connor has gone 9-1 against Mountain Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The O'Connor Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. O'Connor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Mountain Ridge likes a good challenge.

O'Connor is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Pinnacle: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that O'Connor blew Pinnacle out of the water with a 74-47 final score. With the Eagles ahead 42-19 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-42 loss at the hands of Boulder Creek. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Jaguars are ranked fourth).

O'Connor will have to contain Jaiden Thompson as he made an impact in Mountain Ridge's last game. He posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Wilkinson, who had five points.

O'Connor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. As for Mountain Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Everything came up roses for O'Connor against Mountain Ridge in their previous meeting last Friday, as the squad secured an 87-58 victory. Does O'Connor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mountain Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
