Football Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Riverside extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were outmatched by the Stone Bridge Bulldogs and fell 76-0. While losing is never fun, the Ram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

As for Stone Bridge, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 28 points or more this season.

Shia Campbell was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 118 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another rusher making a difference was Dominic Manicioto, who gained 91 total yards.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverside will square off against rival Briar Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stone Bridge is set to take on their familiar foe Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 4.7, the Eagles 11.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
