Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Howardsville Christian last Saturday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Northwest Mounties fell to the Tecumseh Indians 52-46. While losing is never fun, the Mounties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Indians are ranked 97th).

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tecumseh, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will venture away from home to face off against Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tecumseh, they will head out on the road to take on Columbia Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Tecumseh surely won't give up without a fight.
