Football Recap: DuPont Comes Up Short

If DuPont was feeling good fresh off their 46-8 takedown of McKean last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Brandywine Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Chase Beauparlant was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 114 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Brandywine's leading receiver Jahsir Greene was Beauparlant's top target yet again, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

DuPont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brandywine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. DuPont will take on rival St. Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brandywine is set to square off against their familiar foe McKean at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
