Montebello and El Rancho are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Oilers will jump right back in to play the Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Montebello's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Montebello took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took down Rosemead 55-37.

Meanwhile, El Rancho earned a 54-43 win over San Gabriel on Friday. The Dons haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

El Rancho now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Montebello, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Montebello was able to grind out a solid win over El Rancho in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 55-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Oilers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
