It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gaffney had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 38-31 victory over the Greenwood Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Gaffney got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Hill out in front who rushed for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Hill is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Greenwood still got an impressive performance from Tristan Lewis, who rushed for 93 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 239 yards on 21 of 33 attempts. A healthy portion of Lewis' aerial production (110 yards to be exact) went to Nyjaviese Duncan.

Gaffney's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Greenwood, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
