Baseball Recap: Trinity Episcopal Beats Fredericksburg Christian for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Trinity Episcopal won against Benedictine last Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Titans never let the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

Owen Giesen looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taegan Logan, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Fischi, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Trinity Episcopal hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fredericksburg Christian struck out eight times.

The win was the fourth in a row for Trinity Episcopal, bringing their record up to 7-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.2 runs. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7-1.

Coming up, Trinity Episcopal will welcome Fork Union Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Trinity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
