Basketball Game Preview: Lunenburg Central Chargers vs. Prince Edward County Eagles

Lunenburg Central hasn't had much luck against Prince Edward County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lunenburg Central Chargers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Prince Edward County Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Lunenburg Central had to suffer through a 58-21 loss at the hands of Amelia County. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Prince Edward County put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Altavista 70-20. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Prince Edward County pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Lunenburg Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Lunenburg Central was dealt a bruising 64-25 loss at the hands of Prince Edward County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Lunenburg Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
