Basketball Recap: enCompass Academy Takes a Loss

EnCompass Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-13 loss at the hands of the Sage Ridge Scorpions. The game marked the Explorers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Daniel Dicante had a dynamite game for Sage Ridge, going 8 of 10 on his way to 18 points and six steals. Sage Ridge is 4-2 when Dicante posts five or more steals, but 4-8 otherwise. Taylor Sullins was another key player, going 5 for 6 to rack up 12 points and three steals.

EnCompass Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sage Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

EnCompass Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-25 loss against Coral Academy of Science - Reno on the 7th. As for Sage Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-49 victory against Mineral County on the 5th.
