Baseball Recap: Blackfoot's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

If Blackfoot was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Sandpoint on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Blackfoot lost 11-1 to the Bishop Kelly Knights on Saturday. The Broncos have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Blackfoot saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Cannon, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Blackfoot fell to 5-1. As for Bishop Kelly, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blackfoot will head out to square off against Jerome at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Kelly, they will face off against Caldwell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caldwell has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something Bishop Kelly will no doubt try to take advantage of.
