Basketball Game Preview: Shead Tigers vs. Calais Blue Devils

The Shead Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Calais Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Shead is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lee Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 57-43 bruising from the Pandas.

Meanwhile, Calais strolled past Penobscot Valley with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 62-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Calais is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Shead, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Shead didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Calais in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shead since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
