The University Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Rosary Academy Royals at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
University lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Laguna Hills, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Trojans blew past the Hawks 15-1 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Carson Cruz made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Amela Hoang was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sienna Gillen, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .784. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laguna Hills only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Rosary Academy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. Everything went their way against the Timberwolves as they made off with an 11-1 win.
Ava Phillips looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.
On the hitting side, Jenna Caldera was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Huerta, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one stolen base.
Rosary Academy's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for University, their record now sits at 11-9.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. University has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .548. However, it's not like Rosary Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .484. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
University suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Rosary Academy in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
