Basketball Recap: Ann Sobrato Takes a Loss

Ann Sobrato was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 54-44 to the Oak Grove Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-53 back in January.

It was another big night for Cole Takeda, who went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points for Oak Grove. Takeda is becoming a predictor of Oak Grove's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 8-12 when he doesn't). Felix Enow was another key player, putting up ten points.

Ann Sobrato's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Oak Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Ann Sobrato does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Grove, they will take on Wilcox at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
